I get asked all the time, why should I get a massage?  I usually reply by asking the following:  If you were about to throw a ball or kick a ball further than you ever have, would you stretch your arm or your leg first?  What would happen to your car if you never got an oil change?  When you bump your head or your elbow, do you usually rub it really fast to try and help minimize the pain?  Massage has a lot of the same maintenance and healing benefits.

If we are active, there is a good chance you could overstretch or injure something. If we are not doing yoga all day and eating farm fresh foods only, there is a good chance your body can hold toxins from stress or the environment you ingest. You see, the body is our temple and muscles are like a rubber band.  If they haven’t been taken care of properly, or stretched, there’s a really good chance they could pop or crumble.  Luckily for us, our bodies have cellular regeneration. Massage not only helps take care of your muscles, but also removes the toxins from your muscles, allows the body to relax, and puts he body in a better state of well being.

I joke, but it is honestly so true. The happiest time of my life, was during massage school because I was getting massage almost everyday. I was in tune with my body, I was happy mentally and physically, while learning how to take care of my body and others. I realize that is not everyone’s reality, but even if you can just get massage once per month, It can make a huge difference in your life. There we go!
